Which Category (ies) I should enter my Project(s)?

That is the most frequently asked question we received every year.  So we’ve decided to make it easier for the participants to identify the proper category (ies), the only thing you need to know is a few things about your Mod and/or Build.

FIRST CASE MOD / SCRATCH BUILD

This Category is for anyone who has never done a Case Mod or Build, and this is his/her First One.

It doesn’t matter if your project was made in 1950; the only thing you should know is that if you enter a previous CMS with your First Project you CAN NOT participate again with that particular project or any other in this category.

Note: If your project was sponsored somehow, DO NOT post any outside link or image of your sponsor(s).  You can mention your sponsor(s) but you CAN NOT advertise your sponsor in the Competition.

CASE MOD

This Category is for anyone with more than one project on his/her desk.  Previous CMS entry are NOT allowed.

SCRATCH-MOD

[NEW CATEGORY] This Category is for everyone that has use a Computer Chassis as a base to build something from scratch, Confuse? Well… the more logical answer is a Computer Case that was 50% Modded and 50% Build from Scratch.  [Could be 50% - 50%, 25% - 75% but NOT 75% - 25% that still a Case Mod]

SCRATCH BUILD

This Category is only for those who like to build things from scratch.  Case Mods are NOT allowed in this Category. Previous CMS entry are NOT allowed.

MODDING MASTERS

We don’t truly believe that a PRO-Modder should compete against a Beginner or Intermediate Modder.  So this Category is for PRO-Modders and Heavily Sponsored Projects.  If you feel that you should enter this Category go ahead and be our guest, not Turning Point after Registration.

THINGS YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW!

- You can only ENTER one (1) Project per Category and a Max. of 3 Projects in the CMS.

- You can NOT ENTER the Modding Masters Category and the other Categories at the same time.

- You are allowed to ENTER two (2) Projects for the Modding Masters Category.

- Hardware is NOT required in the Final Picture, we only evaluate your Skills, Craftsmanship and Creativity.

- If you decided to use Hardware in your Project, at least change the overall look.

- Expensive Hardware will NOT get you to the TOP, but a COOL Mod or Build will.

- An i7 and a PII Processor is the same in our Modder eyes so don’t try to impress us with that either.

- Be wise and follow the Rules, you will find the way to WIN the Showdown if you follow all the Rules, they will make you a better MODDER also.
